Despite Cruz Azul's Concachampions title triumph, a title they hadn't won since 2014, the club's board officially terminated coach Vicente Sánchez's contract yesterday. Sánchez thanked him with a heartfelt video on his official X account. There is speculation that his place could be taken by Argentine Nicolás Larcamón, who coached Necaxa last season.
