'Nuestro Bogotá' Shopping Center creates free route for tourists traveling to El Dorado Airport: how it works

'Nuestro Bogotá' Shopping Center creates free route for tourists traveling to El Dorado Airport: how it works
Getting to El Dorado Airport becomes one of the biggest issues (and sometimes one of the biggest headaches) for Bogotá residents, due to its influx and the mobility problems it can cause on certain days.
That's why the Nuestro Bogotá shopping center, located just minutes from this location, has implemented an exclusive route for tourists who visit this place, including strategic stops at sites throughout the city.
How does the route work?
This route will be operated in a van with a capacity of 19 passengers. The vehicle will also have enough space for tourists visiting this shopping center to store their suitcases and luggage.

The route will depart every two hours from the shopping center, giving tourists the opportunity to run errands within its facilities.
What stops does it include?
The tour includes stops at four of the most exclusive hotels in the area, continues across the Air Bridge, and concludes upon arrival at the airport terminal.

Passenger lounge area: the services it offers
In addition to the announced new route, they also announced that the mall will be building a lounge area for travelers. This lounge is expected to be open to the public by mid-August.
Access will be free for tourists who present their flight ticket, and the area will offer services such as:
  • Snacks.
  • Hot and cold drinks.
  • Discounts at certain stores.
  • Rest areas with free Wi-Fi.

The routes that facilitate shopping centers and lead to airports are not the work of one of these entities. Rather, it is a trend being adopted throughout Latin America.
In Lima , Peru, for example, the Mall Plaza Norte offers an interprovincial bus terminal and has direct routes to Jorge Chávez Airport, with waiting rooms and connectivity between tourists and locals.

Panama City has a similar system; the Albrook Mall has a notable reputation for its proximity to Tocumen International Airport. It's worth noting that this route doesn't operate exclusively through a partnership with the airport, but it makes for an ideal stopover before and after a flight.
Cities like Miami and New York also offer this synchronicity. It's not a service within the mall, but Miami International Airport has bus stops that connect to nearby shopping centers, offering a symbiosis between commerce and air transportation in the terminal.
