Airbnb launches culinary experience with Karol G in Medellín for just 24 people: here's how to book it

Airbnb announced one of the most anticipated experiences for its users: a culinary trip with Karol G in Medellín, reserved for just 24 people.

This activity is offered as part of the platform's latest features, allowing users to access personalized professional services and local experiences.

The experience with Karol G will take place in Medellín, at a local rooftop. It will be a unique culinary journey that will include her favorite dishes and drinks, personally selected by her.

Those interested can book this experience between June 30 and July 5. The event will take place on the evening of Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

“I'm so excited to collaborate with Airbnb to make this experience a reality. My new album, 'Tropicoqueta,' was created to celebrate with my fans. It's about celebrating your most authentic self, with a song for every mood and moment in life. I hope this experience allows people to truly feel that connection, surrounded by the things I love most, in the place I love most: my home, Colombia,” the Colombian singer said in a statement.

Due to the limited capacity of just 24 people, Airbnb warns that the selection process will be rigorous. The applicant's profile on the platform will be evaluated, and each applicant must also submit a letter explaining their reasons for participating.

To apply for a reservation, Airbnb users can visit airbnb.com/karolg. The experience will be available for booking starting June 30th and is completely free per person. Registration closes on July 5th at 7:00 a.m. (local time). Up to 24 eligible guests will be selected to join Karol G on Tuesday, July 29th in Colombia.

" Travel and accommodation are not included. Airbnb will not cover travel expenses to and from the pickup point . Selected guests will be responsible for their own expenses," the platform details.

And it adds: "Only those 18 or older may apply, and geographic and eligibility restrictions apply. Those interested can review the full terms, selection criteria, and use of personal information at airbnb.com/rules. Participation is subject to acceptance of the official rules and signing a liability and publicity waiver."

- The event will take place on a rooftop in Medellín decorated like a tropical oasis, with jungle vegetation, exotic flowers, and disco music setting the pace for the night.

- Upon entering, the 24 guests will be greeted in the Pineapple Welcome Area, where they will be offered a piña colada served in a real pineapple, prepared at a typical Medellín street cart. This welcome seeks to connect attendees with the flavors and colors that inspire Karol G's world.

- One of the highlights will be the "Showgirl Sparkle" station, a private corner where local artists will hand-paint body designs inspired by the album, featuring motifs like coconuts, sparkly flowers, and lots of glitter. The idea is for each guest to reflect their inner sparkle and celebrate their unique style.

- Additionally, at the Tropical Treasures Bar, attendees can create personalized bracelets with unique charms—such as mini guavas, pineapples, hearts, or musical notes—selected directly from local markets in Medellín. Each piece will be full of color and symbolism.

The evening will also include live music from one of Karol G's favorite bands, Los Tomate's, who will perform songs from the new album and other tracks. Guests can join in the rhythm with instruments such as tambourines, bongos, and maracas, available on-site.

- To close out the evening, Karol G will gather the group for a final toast with her favorite cocktail, the Paloma, or a non-alcoholic beverage, as a way to celebrate the connection and spirit of the Tropicoqueta experience.
