The National Tax and Customs Directorate ( DIAN) will summon more than 19,000 companies operating in six Colombian cities to provide advice so they can comply with their respective obligations . What does this measure against defaulters entail?
The aforementioned government agency emphasized that delinquent taxpayers in the cities of Barranquilla, Bogotá, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, and Medellín will be able to receive personalized assistance during the "Pay Easy with the Dian: Pay and Fulfill" Fair. -Your payment agreements will be reviewed. -Advice will be provided to financial institutions to ensure the obligation is paid. -Interested parties will be able to receive an update on their Single Tax Registry. -Renewal or generation of their digital signature. -They will be able to have their electronic invoices enabled. -Finally, attendees will be able to access informative talks on voluntary tax compliance and income tax.

The entity intends to prioritize taxpayers whose obligations are less than 360 days overdue. It will also provide solutions for all individuals with debts related to official assessments, non-tax acts, provisional assessments, and sanctioning resolutions. "During this session, the tax collection agency expects to serve more than 19,100 taxpayers and manage a portfolio of nearly $1.2 billion in overdue taxes," they explained. On the other hand, the DIAN intends to recover 1 trillion more amid the issuance of at least 4,710 precautionary measures to carry out judicial processes in conjunction with the Attorney General's Office for an amount of 210 billion.
"The Dian reminds taxpayers that this day they can regularize their tax status, avoid seizure measures or criminal proceedings , and move forward with peace of mind in fulfilling their tax obligations," they concluded.
