The municipality of Cundinamarca with imposing rock formations up to 130 meters high; ideal for climbing

Rock climbing is a discipline that requires physical and psychological preparation. Athletes must have adequate knowledge of the safety techniques required to ascend these natural formations.
According to the ProColombia website, the best place to climb in the country is located just an hour by car from Zipaquirá and approximately an hour and a half from Bogotá.

The official website of the Colombian government agency, ProColombia, names the municipality of Suesca as the preferred destination for national and international climbers in the country.
The municipality located in Cundinamarca, Colombia, has "more than 400 climbing routes that adapt to different skill levels."
For this reason, the Suesca Rocks are considered the 'cradle of climbing in Colombia'. The Ministry of Culture, Recreation and Sport's website reports that the origin of climbing dates back to ancient records of Antoine De Ville, who climbed Mount Aiguille in France on June 28, 1492, becoming the first recorded amateur to practice this activity.

Although nature's majestic creations are renowned for their climbers, the Suesca Rocks offer a variety of activities so people can enjoy what nature has to offer.
