The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established that by 2025, the value of ordinary and executive passports in the city of Bogotá will differ by $133,000 pesos.
It's worth remembering that, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the costs of this process may vary depending on the region of the country or where the Colombian citizen is located abroad.

The costs for processing executive passports and ordinary passports aren't the only differences. The number of pages is another characteristic that differentiates the documents, but the validity periods are the same.
These are the price differences between the ordinary passport and the executive passport, as established on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official website for 2025.
What is the price of an ordinary passport? The passport, which identifies travelers as Colombian citizens abroad, costs between $186,000 and $344,800 pesos in 2025, depending on where it is issued.
- Price in Colombia: Each region sets a fixed fee for passport issuance. In Bogotá , the cost is $186,000; in Antioquia, $294,000; in Meta, $260,800; and in Tolima, $234,542. In different regions of the country, the cost varies between $226,000 and a maximum of $344,800 pesos.
- Price abroad: Citizens who need to acquire the document while abroad can also obtain it for €60 in Europe or Cuba, and $82 in the rest of the world.
- Term of use and number of pages: The document is valid for 10 years, with a total of 32 pages.

According to the agency, the process that allows entry and exit from the country costs between $244,000 and $477,000 pesos, depending on where it is requested.
- Price in Colombia: Each region of the country has a fixed fee for issuing passports. In Bogotá, the cost is $244,000 ; in Antioquia, $427,000; in Meta, $393,800; and in San Andrés, $434,000. In the regions of the country, the cost varies between $368,799 and a maximum of $477,000 pesos.
- Price abroad: Interested parties outside of Colombia who need to purchase the document can also obtain it for €120 in Europe or Cuba, and USD $167 in the rest of the world.
- Term of Use: The executive passport is also valid for 10 years, but has a total of 48 pages, a difference of 16 pages compared to the ordinary passport.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, citizens must follow a series of steps to obtain the document in Colombia.
- Citizens must request an appointment through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' official website or in person at authorized offices in each region of the country.
- Present yourself at the corresponding office with the required documents, take your photograph, obtain your fingerprints, and then sign.
- If this is not the first time a passport has been issued, the citizen must present the previous document. If they do not have it, they must explain what happened under oath.
- Wait a set period of 48 hours or more to claim the passport at the office, depending on where the citizen applied.
It should be noted that residents of the country's capital can request an appointment through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website to begin the document process. If you do not reside in Bogotá , you should contact the authorized governor's office in each region.
