Coutances (50): PSG victory celebrations: mortars fired into the crowd. A police officer seriously injured in the face.

At around 10:50 p.m., a firework mortar fired by a spectator crossed horizontally through the crowd of several hundred people.
The shot, which did not hit any spectators, hit the face of a police officer posted with other colleagues on surveillance at the foot of the cathedral, at the corner of Geoffroy-de-Montbray and Cardinal Guyot streets, and the Place du Parvis Notre-Dame. The officer, aged around forty, was hit near an eye, at the level of the eyebrows or the temple, and was bleeding profusely.
Taken into care by Red Cross volunteers and then by firefighters from Coutances, the forty-year-old was then transferred to the Caen University Hospital.
