"France's position could not be clearer. No weapons are being sold to Israel. And for good reason, Israel is one of the main competitors of French industries," Sébastien Lecornu said on the LCI television channel.
Only "components" for the "Iron Dome ," one of Israel's defense systems that protects the country from missile, rocket and drone attacks, or "items for re-export" are sold to Israel, he added.
In the latter case, "certain things go to Israel, are subject to industrial intervention and are often re-exported. Sometimes even to France. And all of this is subject to control," the minister assured.
On Wednesday and Thursday, dockers at Marseille-Fos refused to load containers containing machine gun parts manufactured by the Marseille-based company Eurolinks onto a ship bound for Haifa, Israel, in order to avoid "participating in the ongoing genocide orchestrated by the Israeli government." The ship left the port on Friday without the disputed containers, a port operator told Agence France-Presse.
Earlier in the day, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot made the same comments on RTL: "We do not deliver military equipment used in Gaza," before citing "two exceptions." "These are the components that allow Israel to defend itself, notably with the Iron Dome," and "there is equipment that can be assembled in Israel, but which is intended to be re-exported," he added.
However, if Eurolinks' military equipment were to be used in Gaza, "the company exporting it would be in breach of the law," he added.

Amande Bazerolle, an emergency coordinator for Doctors Without Borders, returned from the Gaza Strip a month ago. A rare witness to what's happening in the Palestinian enclave, she tells us about the living conditions of Gazans.
In a video broadcast on X, the Israeli ambassador to Washington thanks the United States for helping to create the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which, he says, helps prevent Hamas from diverting humanitarian aid to sell it on the black market.
“Fortunately, our friends in the Trump administration have partnered with us to establish an aid mechanism that bypasses Hamas and ensures that only civilians in Gaza benefit,” says Yechiel Leiter, accusing the movement of diverting 70 to 90 percent of the aid. “To date, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation’s relief centers have distributed 8.5 million meals and will expand their operations to reach even more people in need,” he adds.
According to health authorities in the enclave, around 100 Palestinians have been killed since May 27 while trying to reach GHF distribution centers, whose methods have been condemned by the UN.
General Eyal Zamir, chief of staff of the Israeli forces, approved on Friday the plans drawn up for the continuation of operations in the Gaza Strip, the army announced , without giving further details.
On June 1 , the officer ordered "the expansion of the ground operation to new areas" in the south and north of the enclave, "until the conditions for the return of the hostages and the decisive defeat of Hamas are met."

The Gaza Civil Defense announced the death of 38 people in Israeli shelling or gunfire on Friday, the first day of Eid al-Adha, the Muslim feast of sacrifice. Eleven were killed in Jabaliya, in the north of the enclave, according to Mohammed Al-Moughayir, one of the organization's officials, quoted by Agence France-Presse. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported 35 deaths.
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, expressed her "full support" for the International Criminal Court (ICC) and its members on Friday, the day after the announcement of American sanctions against four of its magistrates .
"The ICC holds perpetrators of the world's most serious crimes to account and gives victims a voice. It must be free to act without pressure," she added on X.
Among the judges sanctioned by the United States on Thursday are Reine Alapini Gansou and Beti Hohler, who authorized the ICC to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The other two, Solomy Balungi Bossa and Luz del Carmen Ibañez Carranza, are leading investigations into the actions of American soldiers suspected of war crimes in Afghanistan.
"On behalf of all the citizens of Israel, my wife and I extend our deepest condolences to the families of our four heroic fighters who fell in Gaza during the campaign to defeat Hamas and recover our hostages (...) " , wrote the Israeli Prime Minister in a statement .
According to Israeli army spokeswoman Effie Defrin , they were killed around 6 a.m. local time on Friday when an explosive device caused part of a building in Khan Younis, in the south of the enclave, to collapse, where they were carrying out a commando operation against Hamas members. The officer also reported five wounded, one of whom is in serious condition.
The army released the names of two of the killed soldiers. They were Sergeant Yoav Raver and Warrant Officer Hen Gross, 19 and 33 years old, respectively. The names of the other two soldiers were not released. Since the start of the Israeli ground offensive on October 27, 2023, 429 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the Gaza Strip, according to their headquarters.
"The losses suffered today by the occupation in Khan Younis (...) illustrate what the occupation forces will face wherever they are present," Hamas reacted, according to a statement attributed to Abu Obeida, the spokesman for the Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamist movement. Reproduced in a statement issued by this movement, it calls on the Israeli population to "force its leaders to end the war of extermination or prepare to receive more of its sons in coffins."

The French Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli bombings of the previous day in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday and called on the Hebrew state "to withdraw as quickly as possible from all Lebanese territory."
"Paris calls on all parties to respect the ceasefire agreement," he wrote in a statement. "France reiterates that the monitoring mechanism established by this ceasefire agreement is there to help the parties address threats and prevent any escalation that would harm the security and stability of Lebanon and Israel," he stressed.
"The dismantling of unauthorized military sites on Lebanese territory is the priority responsibility of the Lebanese Armed Forces" with the support of the United Nations force (UNIFIL), recalls the Quai d'Orsay.
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) announced Friday that two of its food distribution centers located in Rafah, in the south of the enclave, had to be closed this morning due to excessive crowds.
"We are reporting that the large crowds early in the morning at distribution sites have hampered our ability to accurately schedule pickup times. More importantly, these large crowds before opening prevent the distribution of available aid," she wrote on Facebook , urging those who wish to receive it to wait for "official notifications" before going to distribution sites.
The GHF had already suspended its distributions on Wednesday , the day after a new tragedy that left dozens dead near one of its centers. The UN has deemed the conditions of aid distribution by the organization, which is supported by Israel and the United States, contrary to humanitarian principles.

The Palestinian news agency WAFa reported that an Israeli army bombardment targeting a house in Jabaliya, in the northern Gaza Strip, killed ten people on Friday afternoon . The strike also injured several others, according to the agency, citing medical sources.

The Israeli army on Friday called on residents of several neighborhoods in Gaza City to evacuate ahead of an attack in the Palestinian territory where Israel has been waging a 20-month war against the Islamist movement Hamas.
Israeli forces will "attack every area used to launch rockets," wrote the army's Arabic-language spokesman, Avichay Adraee, on his X account, adding: "For your safety, evacuate immediately to the west."
The Israeli prime minister acknowledged that authorities were supporting a Palestinian clan in Gaza that opposes the Islamist movement Hamas, following statements by a former minister that Israel had transferred weapons to the group.
According to Israeli and Palestinian media reports, this group brings together members of a Bedouin tribe led by Yasser Abu Shabab. The European Council on Foreign Relations describes Mr. Abu Shabab as the leader of a "criminal gang operating in the Rafah area [a town straddling the Gaza Strip and Egypt] and accused of looting aid trucks" in Gaza.
Avigdor Lieberman, a member of parliament and former defense minister, said in an interview with Israeli public broadcaster Kan that Benjamin Netanyahu's government was "giving weapons to a group of criminals and wrongdoers."
"What did Lieberman disclose? That security sources activated a Gaza clan that opposes Hamas? What's wrong with that?" Netanyahu said in a video posted on his X account on Thursday. "It's all good, it saves the lives of Israeli soldiers" in the Gaza Strip, he said.
It took nearly eight months, but Marion Lafouge and Damia Taharraoui are now satisfied. In September 2024, these two young Parisian lawyers filed a complaint against an unknown person with civil action for "complicity in genocide" and "incitement to genocide" in Gaza, targeting several Franco-Israeli figures accused of obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian territory.
Following a favorable introductory indictment, a judicial investigation was opened on May 22, 2025, and entrusted to two investigating judges from the crimes against humanity unit of the Paris judicial court. The complaint was filed on behalf of the French Jewish Union for Peace and a Franco-Palestinian citizen, Ms. SE, affiliated with Urgence Palestine.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, called on the United States on Friday to lift sanctions against four judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC), saying he was "deeply disturbed" by the attacks . "Such attacks are deeply damaging to good governance and the proper administration of justice," Turk said in a statement sent to the media.
The judges targeted are Solomy Balungi Bossa and Luz del Carmen Ibanez Carranza, who initiated ICC investigations into alleged war crimes by US soldiers in Afghanistan, as well as Reine Alapini Gansou and Beti Hohler, who authorized the ICC to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The judges had ruled that there were "reasonable grounds" to suspect the two men of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza war.
