Live, war in Ukraine: Volodymyr Zelensky wants to "relaunch negotiations" with Russia

Ukraine has offered Russia new talks next week, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced Saturday, expressing his readiness to negotiate directly with Vladimir Putin. "A meeting at the highest level is necessary to truly ensure peace," he said.

On Saturday in Ukraine, three people were killed in Russian missile and drone strikes. Two people died in Vasylkivska, in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. One person was also killed in Odessa, the target of a drone attack on Friday night.

Russia attacked Ukraine overnight from Friday to Saturday with 344 drones or decoys and 35 missiles, according to the Ukrainian military. For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed to have targeted sites of the "military-industrial complex" in Ukraine. The ministry also claimed to have shot down 83 Ukrainian drones in Russia overnight, including 16 over the Moscow region.
