The new series from the Sherman-Palladino couple ("Gilmore Girls," "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel") intertwines the lives of two ballet companies in New York and Paris. It was conceived as a plea for dance and art in a world on fire where culture is under attack from all sides, according to the American press.

“A great ballet can change a life, change your way of seeing the world, brighten your day for a few hours. Art is under attack from all sides, especially in the United States. So if this series could contribute, even a little, to showing that life is more beautiful when it is placed under the sign of art, we would be delighted.” This quote could serve as a statement of intent for the new series Étoile, available on Amazon Prime since April 24, 2025.
