2025 Baccalaureate Oral Exam: Presentation, Weightings... How is the Test Evolving?

This test marks the final stretch for the country's high school students. But how does it work? Each student prepares two questions during the school year, each based on one of the two specialized subjects chosen by the student.

For high school students in the technological stream, the questions "are based on the specialized teaching in which an in-depth study or a project was carried out," specifies the Ministry of National Education.

Evolution next year

On the day, students present themselves before two teachers with two prepared questions, and the jury selects one of the two questions. The candidate then has 20 minutes to prepare, during which time they can structure their argument. The high school student then presents himself before the jury. They are allowed to have a paper copy with notes, prepared during the first 20 minutes.

For 10 minutes, the candidate presents his argument using his notes, then the following 10 minutes consist of an exchange with the jury around the theme raised.
