60,000 m2 of activities, 330 stands… The Cannes International Games Festival is expanding (again) the area
The first event of its kind in France, with 85,000 entries recorded in 2024, the FIJ in Cannes will take place this year from February 28 to March 2 at the Palais des Festivals in an expanded configuration.

The first event of its kind in France, with 85,000 entries recorded in 2024, the International Games Festival (FIJ) in Cannes ( Alpes-Maritimes ) is expanding again this year to reach an area equivalent to nine football pitches. Organized from February 28 to March 2 at the Palais des Festivals, the same one that hosts the big international cinema gathering in May, the next edition of the FIJ will offer 60,000 m2 of activities, or 15,000 more than in 2024.
The show, it is true, is the image of a sector that is winning the game. Board games generated 587 million euros in turnover in France in 2024, a figure up 2.4% over one year. We have thus become the leading European market again, ahead of Germany. Last year, 34 million boxes, including expansions, were sold in France!
