A new limited edition Richard Mille watch for Le Mans Classic 2025

This is not a race: it's a celebration of the love we have for beautiful machines, and the respect we give to those who drive them and those who take care of them. Every two years since 2002, the event created by Peter Auto in association with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest brings together sports car enthusiasts on the 13.6 km of the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe. During its first edition, Le Mans Classic attracted around 30,000 spectators. In 2023, it was 235,000! Spectators are also asked to "visit Le Mans Classic properly dressed, in homage to all the actors of this ephemeral show who often come from far away. They appreciate welcoming visitors who have taken the same care as them in dressing."

From July 3rd to 6th, to kick off the summer holidays with a high octane rating, Le Mans Classic will host a retrospective of the most impressive racing cars that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans between 1923 and the 2000s. This year, more than 700 cars will devour the asphalt in six different categories - called "plateaus". Over time, Le Mans Classic has also become the largest gathering of vintage cars with nearly 700 racing cars on track and more than 9,000 collector cars, 80 car brands from 1911 to 2023, 22 countries and 220 collector clubs represented. During four days of festivities, enthusiasts and amateurs will be able to travel into the past, but also attend a concert by Kavinsky on the evening of July 4th, and by Cerrone on the evening of July 5th.

As with every edition since 2008, faithful among the faithful, the watch brand Richard Mille, created by a true racing enthusiast, a great collector forever, unveils a new limited edition watch. This RM 30-01 Le Mans Classic in a limited edition of 150 pieces features the traditional touches of green and white associated with the event. The two titanium bezels of its case enclose a green Quartz TPT caseband. On the dial revealing skeletonized titanium and platinum bridges, a checkered flag frames the oversized date, while the Le Mans Classic logo is found on the sapphire caseback.

This new model features a modified RMAR2 Caliber to accommodate a new 24-hour counter whose green-tinted "16" segment refers to the flag marking the start of the legendary endurance race. As is the racing beast, at 11 o'clock, a clutch engagement indicator allows you to check whether the rotor is engaged during the winding phase (on) or whether it is disengaged (off). Finally, the function selector located at 3 o'clock helps you visualize the crown adjustment position.
