The Nous toutes 01 association is organizing two new festive evenings to attract new audiences. Join us at La Barricade, a new association currently located at the Le Temps des Nucleaux bar, to discover feminist karaoke this Friday, May 23, and feminist bingo on Friday, June 27.
"Protesting doesn't suit everyone." Busy co-organizing the day of action against LGBT phobias that took place this Saturday, May 17 , the Nous toutes 01 association is also preparing two new events. "More relaxed and festive gatherings," explains Mélanie Pommier, a volunteer with the organization for several months.
Accompanied by Mandy Perret-Médevielle, who has been involved since 2021, they outlined these future evenings in more detail at the PCF (French Communist Party) premises this Wednesday, May 14.
"The idea is to do things a little different from what we usually do, while continuing to talk about topics related to feminism," Mandy Perret-Médevielle explains. On Friday, May 23, everyone is invited to a feminist karaoke at 7:30 p.m. at La Barricade, a new association (currently based at the Le Temps des Nucleaux bar) that offers opportunities for political and societal discussion. "There will only be songs whose lyrics don't bother us," the activist continues. "And which tell nice stories without misogyny, sexism, or violence. We realize that we need to remove some of the great karaoke classics."

A little over a month later, on Friday, June 27, meet again at the Barricade at 7 p.m. for a different format: "Bingo bango feminismo," say the two organizers, very proud of the chosen name. But what is feminist bingo? "It's like a lottery, but instead of numbers, there will be phrases heard by us, self-proclaimed feminists or simply women, that we wouldn't like to hear."
During the evening, other activities, such as games and a prevention stand, will also be offered.
For both festive evenings, there will be food and a donation box "for the association's operating costs (flyers, flags, stickers, smoke bombs)", explains the experienced volunteer.
"Projects like this also allow us to promote the association and reach other audiences, because we're looking for volunteers," concludes Mandy Perret-Médevielle.
