C8: around fifty activists celebrate the end of TPMP in front of the show's studios

This gathering in front of the Canal Factory premises was claimed by the collective "Action Justice Climat". Live, Cyril Hanouna ordered the demonstrators to "go do their stupid things elsewhere".
By Le ParisienAround fifty climate activists demonstrated this Wednesday evening in front of the Canal Factory studios in Boulogne-Billancourt ( Hauts-de-Seine ), to "celebrate with fanfare" the end of "Touche pas à mon poste!", while the C8 channel, which broadcasts the show, will go off the air at midnight on Friday , due to the non-renewal of its frequency by Arcom, the audiovisual regulator - an unprecedented decision.
Images shared on social media show around fifty people shaking their hips to music in front of the studio, some wearing yellow vests or red jumpsuits, others wearing masks bearing the image of Cyril Hanouna, the show's presenter. Banners and placards reading "We have come to celebrate your departure", "Media Bollorisation, democratic peril" and "Fed up with your hatred, go off the air" were brandished.
The rally was claimed by the Action Justice Climat collective. "We were present in front of Arcom in July to demand the non-renewal of C8 and CNews. We are celebrating this first stage victory with the end of C8 on TNT," a spokesperson for the association said on Instagram.
Cyril Hanouna, who hosts the show every evening , reacted live. "If they want to take action on the climate, you can tell them that there is no sun here," he said, urging the protesters to "go do their stupid things somewhere else, otherwise I'll be the one to go out." "Let them go grow corn at home," he added, mockingly, the host who will reveal his next destination on Thursday evening during a special live evening, where he will answer viewers' questions.
Cyril Hanouna, and his supporters behind him, have been furious since the announcement of the closure of C8. He accused the Secretary General of the Élysée, Alexis Kohler, of having "built a case" against C8, without Emmanuel Macron's knowledge. On Monday on Europe 1 (also in the hands of Vincent Bolloré) where he officiates daily from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., he called for a "poll" on "the elimination of Arcom".
Some attribute political ambitions to him. "If I stay, it's for the viewers and listeners. I need them," the king of audiences and clashes hammered home.
