At the Grand Palais in Paris, the Centre Pompidou is once again showcasing the rebellious creations of this artist duo, encouraged by the first director of Beaubourg, Pontus Hulten. The exhibition is on view until January 10, 2026.
In 1977, the newly opened Centre Pompidou gave birth to a 30-metre-long dragon in its forum. This Crocrodrome by Zig&Puce , built by Niki de Saint Phalle, Jean Tinguely and Bernhard Luginbühl, housed a ghost train, a giant pinball machine, a ballet of headdresses rising and falling on the heads of visitors, not to mention chocolates distributed to children... A work with the air of a funfair, desired by the artistic director of Beaubourg, the Swede Pontus Hulten.
