High jewelry: in Milan, Pomellato alone in its jewelry kingdom

For its sixth collection of fine jewelry, the most extensive to date, the Italian house continues to cultivate its difference while revisiting what has made its reputation.
While Milan is home to a parade of men and women competing in elegance throughout the year—the city is, after all, the capital of Italian fashion—it is hosting two highly stylish events at the end of June. The launch of men's fashion week coincided this season with the presentation of Pomellato's latest high jewelry collection . For the second year in a row, the Italian jeweler chose its hometown to unveil Collezione 1967, a reference to its birth year. A line of 75 pieces divided into three decades—1970, 1980, and 1990—from which Vincenzo Castaldo, the brand's creative director for over twenty years, extracted the essential essence. "It's less about nostalgia than about drawing from these three periods what shaped Pomellato's identity and forged its difference, before revisiting it in a totally modern and new way."
