The 2025 edition of the Rencontres de la jeune photographie internationale (Young International Photography Meetings) offers an enticing and renewed program until May 25, meeting the demands of this traditional gathering of visual discoveries and experiments. The festival is present in several heritage sites in Niort.
Appointed director of the Rencontres in spring 2024, Philippe Guionie has been working in the photography industry for over twenty years, with constant enthusiasm. "Niort is a project that suits me well." A happy encounter, then, between the luster of a prestigious but undoubtedly somewhat dormant photography event and the dynamism of an image enthusiast. A tireless worker, Philippe Guionie has dusted off the formats of the Niort festival with several new features without compromising the fundamentals that make the event original.
