This Saturday, June 21, Marc Glotz and Patrick Madenspacher, vice-presidents of the Sundgau Historical Society (SHS), are offering a summer-themed walk of some 7 km on the heights of Koestlach, where Celtic populations found refuge during the Iron Age.

This walking tour will be followed by a visit to the village, whose church preserves the high altar of the former convent church of the abbey of Lucelle . It is one of the most beautiful in the Sundgau. The monthly meeting proposed by the SHS will end in front of the remains of an ancient Gallo-Roman establishment. Taking advantage of the construction of an inn on the road to Ferrette, Karl Sebastian Gutmann unearthed a building measuring seventy meters by thirty, with a central courtyard of thirty-three meters, flanked by peripheral galleries, during the summer of 1904.

The Double Sens theater workshop, in partnership with the Intercommunal Cultural Relay of Thann, is offering its annual creation, Le Théâtre ambulant Chopalovitch , as a preamble to the music festival, on Saturday, June 21 at 5 p.m. When the world is at war, is it really the time to do theater? A strange echo of our current events... A strange smile at the world.

The Double Sens workshop is a troupe of eleven talented amateur actors who like to remind people that they are "first and foremost amateurs, in the sense of those who love." And what they love, says poet and philosopher Laurent Delabesse, who directs them, with a broad smile, is to play together, on stage and in real life, constantly and urgently renewing the desire to be together, to create something in common.

"This play is like a fable about the usefulness or uselessness of theater in a world dominated by an ever-cruel and violent reality, a tragicomedy." Basically, these twelve are a bit like the Chopalovitch company, whose characters they joyfully embody: suitcases full of costumes, dreams bigger than war, and a mad desire to perform, even when all seems lost...

Saturday, June 21 at 5 p.m. at the Intercommunal Cultural Center in Thann. Open to all. Prices: €9.50/€6.50 (under 12s, students, unemployed). Book online: https://ectc.notre-billetterie.fr/billets?spec=1038, +33 3 89 75 47 50, or at the Intercommunal Cultural Center reception desk.
