Man fatally stabbed in Rennes, five people in custody

A 20-year-old man was stabbed Saturday evening in Rennes before succumbing to his injuries in hospital, according to a police source. Around 8 p.m., the victim, who suffered a stab wound, was taken by car to the emergency room by three people, where he died despite unsuccessful resuscitation attempts.
The victim's three companions, as well as two other people who had come to the hospital to check on the injured man, were taken into custody.
According to a source close to the investigation, the incident took place on Rue Ferdinand de Lesseps, in a location known for drug trafficking, located in the Cleunay district.
