The Barbès National Orchestra arrives at the Lamoura plain

The Barbès National Orchestra arrives at the Lamoura plain
The group will be in Lamoura on Friday, June 20, to close the Ôrizons festival. DR

The closing concert of the Ôrizons festival will take place on the Lamoura plain on Friday, June 20 at 9 p.m., with the Barbès National Orchestra.

Founded in 1995 by Algerian bassist and composer Youssef Boukella, a former musician with Cheb Mami, the Orchestre National de Barbès is stopping off in Boulazac. This collective, named after the Parisian district, draws its strength from its multicultural and musical blend from North Africa. This group fuses numerous musical genres: Algerian raï, Kabyle music, with world music such as salsa, reggae, jazz, funk, and rock to create an original sound. Eleven ambassadors of the trans-Maghreb " French touch" will bring you this energetic and irresistibly festive mosaic.
