The Beast Black Amphibian, a very special diving watch

Ralf Tech unveils a limited edition designed with a former US Navy diver.
"Ralf Tech never sells series manufactured for special forces and elite units to the general public," recalls Frank Huygue, president of the French brand. "The exception is a very small series (50 pieces) that our American friends have authorized us to market today. " Indeed, the new The Beast Black Amphibian comes straight from the imagination of Jeff Scott, a former US Navy diver, from DEEPSEA MGZN. This new The Beast takes up the aesthetic codes of the house's other The Beast Electric models, with a diameter of 47.7 mm and a thickness of 17 mm, which is not much given its actual water resistance tested and certified to 3000 meters / 9900 FT. We also find the professional rotating bezel "Diamond Shape" equipped with a matte ceramic insert. Unidirectional, graduated to 60 minutes, it turns in 120 clicks which allows for exceptional time measurement finesse.
For the occasion, the dial of this new Beast, offered at €3,300, features the inscription "Amphibian" accompanied by a logo designed especially for this watch: a wave with a trident, symbolizing Neptune and Poseidon, the masters of the waves. On the caseback, the engraving of an octopus with a trident recalls the first "Amphibian." Like the other versions, this Black Amphibian features a caseback with a fully integrated encapsulation system. This innovation seals the caseback to the steel case with a matte microblasted finish, guaranteeing optimal water resistance. This system also eliminates the need for a helium valve for saturation dives, a system that weakens cases. Only Ralf Tech has the specific tools to open and close the caseback of this model, thus guaranteeing, service after service, the original water resistance.
