The ephemeris of July 11: Happy birthday to Yoann Gourcuff!

The ephemeris of July 11: Happy birthday to Yoann Gourcuff!

Former star footballer Yoann Gourcuff is turning 39! His career began on the pitches of FC Lorient before moving to Stade Rennais in 2001, where he played under his father, Christian Gourcuff, who was then coach. After a brief stint at AC Milan, Gourcuff became a key player for the Girondins de Bordeaux .

For two years, the talented midfielder played a pivotal role in the club's success, leading them to Ligue 1 victory in 2009 and the Coupe de la Ligue in 2009 and 2010. Often compared to Zidane, Gourcuff's promising career was unfortunately cut short by repeated injuries. Today, the former star shares his life with TV presenter Karine Ferri, and devotes his time to raising their two children.
