At least four people died, including a child, in a building fire in Reims. A fire claimed the lives of at least four people, including a child, in Reims on the night of Thursday to Friday.

At least three adults and one child are dead, and another child is missing, according to the Marne prefecture.

Two adults with serious injuries, classified as life-threatening, were taken to hospital. Twelve other people, children and adults, suffered less serious injuries .

PS Congress: Olivier Faure re-elected first secretary for the fourth time

The Socialist Party announced Friday morning that Olivier Faure had won 50.9% of the votes cast, compared to 49.1% for Rouen Mayor Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, and was therefore "re-elected" to the post of First Secretary.

His fourth consecutive victory at a Socialist congress certainly strengthens his position. The first task for Olivier Faure, whose current no longer holds a majority, will be to get the party back to work and make it attractive.
