Colmar: Vauban Street Goes Green on Friday

Vauban Street is going green, with a harmonized decoration in front of each shop which welcomes the public with a carpet of artificial grass.
From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., live music and a DJ will create a festive atmosphere. Exceptional offers from retailers, tastings offered by winemakers and wine merchants, as well as by artisans in the food industry. To thank customers, retailers are launching the "One purchase, one aperitif" offer, to be consumed in moderation, offered in partner bars and restaurants with any purchase made in stores.
Following the encouraging success of the May 10th event on Rue des Prêtres, it is now the turn of Rue Vauban to repeat the operation. "As soon as I took over as president of Vitrines de Colmar, I wanted to put some events in place," explains Céline Masiello .
"The goal is to bring life to neighborhoods, promote local businesses, and create connections between retailers and residents, creating warm exchanges to encourage people to shop in the city center. To avoid repeating the same thing, each retailer contributes their own ideas, to bring life to the area in their own way, differently, and according to their tastes," she continues.
On Saturday, July 5, Rue des Têtes will take over and will have a seaside resort feel with deckchairs, parasols, a food truck, balloons, face painting for children, and festive family entertainment.
Finally, the highlight of the summer, the big sale which will be held on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 July. It will be associated with the second edition of the "Bulle Solidaire" (Solidarity Bulle) , Place de la Cathédrale, in partnership with Espoir, Access, Caritas Alsace, Secours populaire and the CCAS (Communal Social Action Centre) of Colmar). There will be second-hand, vintage or recycled items for sale at low prices, for the benefit of charities.
