It was last June. Political news was accelerating the pace of news channels in the wake of early legislative elections . The twists and turns surrounding French football, in anticipation of the choice of its new broadcaster , kept fans on tenterhooks. The Olympic Games were on everyone's mind. And nothing seemed able to pull the audiovisual transfer window out of the deep lethargy into which it had been plunged. "When does it start?" the sector wondered, yawning. The transfer waltz, finally, had begun well into summer.
Quite the opposite of this season, where the transfer window has started a wild jig early. "The market is going to be hectic," predicted Thierry Thuillier, the head of news at the TF1 group , three weeks ago.
