Energy renovation: problematic influx of applications before the suspension of MaPrimeRénov' on Monday
Faced with the partial suspension of MaPrimeRénov', individuals are rushing to submit their applications before the counter closes. This massive influx is putting the platform under pressure, as the conditions for assistance will be tightened at the start of the school year.

The government has therefore opted to partially suspend the MaPrimeRénov scheme for three months . Applications for major renovations can be submitted up until Monday inclusive to have a chance of being funded. But this situation is generating a massive influx of applications, which poses major problems.

The number of applications submitted daily has jumped from 200 to 400 since the announcement of the temporary closure of the counter, a closure that does not affect single actions such as a simple window replacement , but only major renovations. And so individuals rushed to avoid having to wait until the start of the school year for their renovation aid applications to be validated.

The Ministry of Housing even expects this number to climb to 1,000 by Monday, and fears that the platform will be saturated. "Most of the forms that have arrived in the last few days were completed in a hurry and are incomplete, so they will be rejected," the minister's office pointed out, adding that they should be better prepared and wait until September to submit them.

The Indiscreet: Suspension of MaPrimeRénov', applications are pouring in - 06/20

That's the official advice, except that on the ground, it's clearly not being widely followed, and for good reason: in energy renovation assistance companies, all teams will be on deck this weekend, and customers are being urged to hurry up and supply their parts.

"It's hard to believe that the counter will reopen on September 15, as the government promised," sighs the manager of a major company.

Especially since aid will be cut, another points out. Indeed, when the country reopens in September, the maximum amount of work eligible for aid will drop from €70,000 to €50,000, and the bonus offering 10% aid for thermal strainers will be eliminated altogether.
