First Alert in Sophia Antipolis: tailor-made remote surveillance, and it's a first

The security of property and people is at the heart of the launch of First Alert, a new brand under the Resideo banner, the American company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (1,500 employees worldwide, $7 billion in revenue in 2024) whose European headquarters for the security part has been located in Sophia Antipolis for nearly twenty years with 80 employees. Resideo is the official supplier of remote surveillance professionals. "With First Alert, we wanted to go further by offering à la carte remote surveillance. The end customer – both individuals and professionals – only pays for the time they use the platform's services. At a rate of 2 euros per day." Maxime Chila, director of security sales in Europe, tells us about it, while showing us around their brand new showroom, in the Resideo premises.
2 euros per day if activatedLaurent Legris, Global Product Director at Resideo, is delighted with the initial feedback received after three weeks of First Alert being on the market: "Switching to pay-as-you-go remote monitoring allows you to free yourself from the traditional "flat-rate" payment logic and gain greater control over your application and budget. With the summer holidays approaching, many homeowners want to leave with peace of mind, knowing their home is protected." And that will be the case. Resideo is a global leader in this type of market, as well as in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning control, fire safety products, and carbon monoxide detection markets.
Unique solutionTo achieve this previously unavailable solution, Resideo relied on a study that found three out of four French people fear burglaries and 61% of them would be interested in on-demand remote monitoring services. This is what the Sophia Antipolis engineers have developed. A central unit is installed on site, along with peripherals, and when you want, you press a button to activate the system. Either the alerts are sent to an ultra-responsive call platform, or they are transmitted to your smartphone, and you manage them completely independently.
Multiple alerts in oneWhile Resideo has always marketed its products under white label (the equipment designed and manufactured by the Resideo group is delivered with the customer's branding affixed to it), they are now entering the market with their own brand and an à la carte service. " First Alert is already A2P (Assurance Prevention Protection) certified and should be of interest to the approximately 800 installers in France and other electricians who sell alarms." First Alert benefits from the cutting-edge technology of a listed group and the ultra-secure system detects not only intrusions, whether on a construction site, in offices or at home, but also smoke and carbon monoxide. The application also allows the control of lights, locks and thermostats. And all after-sales service is carried out on-site in Sophia Antipolis, with a dedicated team. For small businesses that would like to invest in First Alert equipment, logo typing is possible, on-site, and again, à la carte! The siren of success should sound for this first brand made in Sophia.
