France Télévisions victim of sabotage? This is what the management of the audiovisual group claims, which denounced on Monday, June 23 , "an act of malice committed externally," two days after a breakdown that led to a brief interruption of the channels' broadcasts, in a press release relayed by Le Parisien .
In this text broadcast this Monday, June 23, the management of France TV adds that it has "filed a complaint so that an investigation can be carried out into the circumstances and motivations of this action" , committed during the night of June 20 to 21.
On Sunday, the public broadcasting group reported that "a major breakdown in the air conditioning system in the rooms hosting the broadcast servers for the channels France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5 and France Info" caused an interruption of scheduled programs for a few moments around midnight , according to the public group.
The 24-hour news channel France Info only resumed live broadcasting around 10 a.m. because "some of the channel's production control room equipment" was damaged during the incident. The public broadcaster apologized "to all viewers."
