Meursault. Thirty graduates for the 70th anniversary of the National Diploma of Oenology

The Champs-Lins business park resounded with applause on Friday evening, July 11, in the warm light of a fading day behind the hillside with its deep green vines. Near the railway line, on the east side, a tent set up behind the Vincent Girardin estate welcomed around a hundred people for the presentation of the 34 certificates of the 2024-2025 class of the National Diploma of Oenologist (DNO) from the Jules-Guyot Institute, part of the University of Burgundy.
A Master's-level program (Bac + 5) created thanks to a 1955 law, and which is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. Hervé Alexandre, professor and head of this benchmark program since 2003, made sure to remind everyone of this before handing the precious piece of paper to his students, which he did for the last time before passing the glass to his colleague, Chloé Roullier-Gall.
