Radio France: Before an unlimited strike, unions fire their arrows against Rachida Dati's reform

All the union forces at the Maison de la Radio are calling for an indefinite strike, starting Thursday, June 26, to oppose the proposed reform of public broadcasting, which aims to regroup France Télévisions, Radio France and the INA.

The heart-rending notes of Mozart's Lacrimosa rise in the large room of the Social and Economic Committee of the Maison de la Radio, where union officials have summoned the press this Wednesday, June 25. This extract from the Requiem, performed by a dozen musicians from the two Radio France orchestras, resonates like a funeral: that of the independence of the public company (5,000 employees, including around 4,000 permanent staff).

It's a bit dramatic, and a bit premature, but it does express the distress and anger of the Maison Ronde staff in the face of the holding company's project to bring together public broadcasting (1) within a single entity , which is due to be presented to the National Assembly on Monday, June 30. A text "which could be disastrous for radio," warns the inter-union, which met for the occasion.

However, the die is not cast and all the unions at Radio France (SNJ, CGT, CFDT, FO and Unsa) do not intend
