Romans-sur-Isère: Saint Jean inaugurates its new headquarters

The Saint Jean company, known for its ravioli and quenelles, has just opened its new headquarters in Romans-sur-Isère.
This is a major expansion. Maison Saint Jean, a flagship food company in the Drôme region for 90 years , has just opened its brand new headquarters in Romans-sur-Isère. Named "Unisson," the 3,400 m² building was designed by SOHO and fitted out by KORUS. It accommodates nearly 360 employees and houses administrative and production teams.
The project is also designed to improve working conditions while promoting environmentally friendly architecture. Clad in wood, inspired by the walnut drying sheds of the Dauphiné region, the building features a green roof. It also benefits from a heating system powered by waste heat from the adjoining fresh pasta factory. In addition, the site is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The project is part of a dynamic of rehabilitation rather than artificialization. Nearly 30,000 m² of industrial wasteland has been decontaminated, 9,600 tons of rubble reused, and the soil preserved.
This project is also part of a larger expansion plan that includes a new 7,500 m² production unit and a 4,500 m² logistics platform. Ninety-eight percent of the work was carried out by companies from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Thirty percent came from the Drôme region.
This is a project that aims to combine gastronomic tradition, social innovation and environmental responsibility. With this choice, Maison Saint Jean reaffirms "its local roots and its sustainable vision of the agri-food industry ."
