Trenitalia arrives this Sunday on the Paris-Marseille line, the SNCF's most profitable connection.

The Italian company, a competitor of SNCF, is launching with four daily round trips and starting prices at 27 euros. This is another step in the rail competition.

A nod to the first Champions League won by a French club, in this case Marseille, in 1993, a dear event for Marseille fans. The carrier is launching its Paris-Marseille route this Sunday , becoming the first player to compete with SNCF on its most profitable route.
"We want to offer a sustainable and accessible alternative, without compromise," says Marco Caposciutti, president of Trenitalia France. "Competition in high-speed rail is reaching a new level. This is excellent news for consumers, who will benefit from the increase in the number of seats and the price battle," boasts Alexandre Gallo, president of the French Rail Association (AFRA), which brings together alternative players to SNCF.
