Unique, the France festival works for equal opportunities: several events in the Var

Making equal opportunities a priority by putting it at the heart of a national event is the ambition of France travail and its partners, with the first Uniques festival, organized throughout France on May 15 and 16 and punctuated by a large gathering in Paris on May 17. "A thousand events are planned in France and 80 in the region. Because each territory has taken up the initiative and we have asked the 13 local agencies to propose actions, around fifteen in total," explains Angélique Ricordel-Papin, territorial director of France travail in the Var.

The teams thus relied on partners from the public employment service to set up workshops to which the general public—and not just job seekers—is invited. Chief among these is the association Les entreprises s'engagent, whose year-round objective is to bring economic stakeholders closer to those who cannot always rely on their personal networks to access the world of work.

The France travail agency in Six-Fours will thus begin, this Thursday, May 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., a coaching session lasting several weeks, aimed at seniors aged 50 to 66, "in order to deconstruct the obstacles linked to age." The same principle but around digital technology, which can sometimes seem inaccessible, with the creation of a fresco, at the Toulon-La Rode agency, Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The partners in this major mobilization for equal opportunities are also companies that have included inclusion in their model. Like Les Autocars Blancs, in Brignoles, whose female drivers will testify, this Thursday from 9 a.m., at the France Travail agency in Brignoles, about their practice of a job considered masculine. The manager of Hyper U Les Arcs, Stéphane Benhamou, will explain, Friday morning , at the Cannet-des-Maures agency, what it means to be a mission-driven company. "Many actions also concern disability, thanks in particular to the partnership with Cap Emploi," adds Angélique Ricordel. Such as the disabled cafe in La Seyne Friday morning, or The Art of Being Unique, a painting workshop offered at the Toulon Foch agency .

"The idea is really not to think of diversity as an effort, but as an enriching process," concludes the director, who hopes to extend this time of meetings through new partnerships, in the service of equal opportunities.
