It was in a magical place, the Bastion Saint-Jaume on the Vauban port in Antibes, that the Nice Côte d'Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI NCA) organized(1) the 3rd edition of the Estivales de l'Eco. This networking evening bringing together many players from the Côte d'Azur economic world was an opportunity to showcase five local, innovative, successful and committed companies.

Rewarding a communication campaign promoting the attractiveness of the Côte d'Azur, the Café de la Com prize was awarded by the Communication Commission of the Côte d'Azur consular chamber to Côte d'Azur France Tourisme for the album Martine sur la Côte d'Azu r.

Published by Casterman, this 65th adventure of the little girl – a transgenerational icon born in 1954 – highlights the richness and diversity of the Alpes-Maritimes, between heritage, nature and culture. " Martine on the Côte d'Azur may come as a surprise," explains Nathalie Dalmasso, head of communications at Côte d'Azur France Tourisme, "but not so much... Because since its launch, it has been an incredible editorial success with more than 120 million copies sold in French and 45 million in foreign languages. For us, it is a real promotional tool that allows us to discover the region from a different angle, with the eyes of a little girl who goes from the coast to the mountains and discovers our valleys. And the bet has paid off because in a few days, on the occasion of Bastille Day (July 14), the album Martine on the Côte d'Azur will also be marketed in New York."

The prize for the Territory Ambassador Brand went to Niçoise Maison Alziari , which "for over a hundred years has been producing olive oil and other olive-based products, which it exports to around thirty countries," explains Vincent Piot, its deputy director.

The third prize, for Mobility and CSR, goes to a company whose CSR approach was supported by the Chamber of Commerce, in this case: Le Café du Cycliste . From the port of Nice, it manufactures collections of technical and outdoor clothing for cycling enthusiasts.

Located a five-minute walk from the Croisette, the Hôtel des Congrès et des Festivals has received the Transmission Prize, awarded by a panel of sellers and buyers, monitored by the Chamber between 2020 and 2022. The award criteria? Growth in turnover and the number of additional employees over three years. Despite a recovery in the midst of Covid and a MICE sector at a complete standstill, Didier Vieillard, the manager of the three-star hotel, managed to double turnover and triple the number of his staff. Not to mention earning the Empl'itude CSR label in the process.

In addition to its support role, the CCI NCA also invests in the local economy: €2.5 million to date via four funds. And it is precisely a company that has benefited from the investment of one of these structures that receives the Champion of Growth award. Grasse-based Ecoat , founded in 2011 by Olivier Choulet, manufactures plant-based resins to replace polymer-based binders in paints.

A mission-driven company that integrates sustainable development and carbon footprint reduction at the heart of its strategy, it completed a major funding round at the beginning of the year, raising €18 million in equity from impact investors.
