Gevrey-Chambertin. Public meeting on the tiger mosquito: 57 communes in Côte-d'Or already colonized

As part of the Local Health Contract, the Pays Beaunois, the City of Gevrey-Chambertin, the Regional Health Agency, and Health Promotion organized a public information meeting to combat the tiger mosquito on Wednesday, June 4. Around thirty people were present at the Salle des Climats in Gevrey-Chambertin to learn how to protect themselves and prevent its spread throughout the region.
The tiger mosquito, or Aedes albopictus, is feared because it can transmit serious diseases (dengue, Zika virus, chikungunya), especially since it is now present throughout the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Hence the recent meeting organized by the municipality of Gevrey-Chambertin to inform residents.
