Health. Listeria: Cochonou ham sold at Leclerc unfit for consumption

Ham was sold by the slice throughout France until Wednesday. It should not be consumed and you should request a refund.
If you have purchased Cochonou ham by the slice in a Leclerc supermarket or hypermarket in the last few days, be careful and find out: the government website Rappel Conso mentions the detection of listeria, the bacteria responsible for listeriosis, in this traditional superior cooked ham with rind (GTIN 3449865414855, batch 0451260111 and best before date 13/07/2025).

The product was sold throughout France at Leclerc from May 28th to June 18th, last Wednesday. It should no longer be consumed and should be destroyed. Consumers can request a refund.
People who have consumed this ham "and who have a fever, whether isolated or accompanied by headaches or body aches, are invited to consult their doctor and inform them of their consumption," explains Rappel Conso.
"Severe forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur. Pregnant women, as well as immunocompromised individuals and the elderly, should be particularly attentive to these symptoms," he continues, knowing that "listeriosis is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks."
