Meurthe-et-Moselle. Health centers and centers: these professionals who decide to come together

It's an old house in Heillecourt, in the Nancy metropolitan area. The sign on the facade of this building, located just across from the town hall, hasn't yet been posted. Due to ongoing renovations. But just take a look at the sheet of paper taped to the front door to see what you'll find there in a few days. "Here, soon, opening mid-May, Heillecourt Village health center," it reads.
This opening reflects an underlying trend. For several years now, multi-professional health centers (MSPs), health hubs, or centers, have been springing up across France, bringing together several healthcare professionals in a single location. The government has launched a plan to reach 4,000 health centers in France by 2027, compared to just over 2,500 today. The goal? To combat medical deserts, in particular. But these openings also respond to the desire of some healthcare professionals to come together in a single location.
