Renée Sabra Hospital in Hyères acquires a second orthopedic surgery robot

Four years after becoming the very first hospital in France to benefit from the Cori robot, which specializes in knee replacements, the orthopedic department of the Renée Sabran hospital in Hyères, one of the largest hip and knee orthopedic surgery departments in the Paca region, has just performed its thousandth procedure and acquired a second robot.
This choice, explained Raymond Le Moign, Director General of the Hospices Civils de Lyon (to which the establishment belongs), demonstrates the institution's interest in the development of robotic technologies in all its establishments and for all surgical and interventional specialties.
It allows us to offer patients "a completely tailored surgery that results in reduced complications, optimized recovery and length of hospital stay."
Robotic procedures now account for 92% of partial prosthesis placements, said Dr. Sébastien Martres, head of the orthopedic surgery department.
"This new robot helps ensure equal access to this cutting-edge technology for all our patients."
