Saint-Rémy. More than sixty donors mobilized for the blood drive

In Montbard, the latest blood drive took place in a warm atmosphere thanks to the unwavering commitment of volunteers in red vests. On Wednesday, May 28, members of the Montbard voluntary blood donation association welcomed, guided, and supported donors throughout the process. They particularly ensured the break following the donation, a mandatory time for rest and snacks, where both savory and sweet treats are served. "We don't leave without having a bite to eat, that's the rule," smiles one volunteer. That day, the team welcomed a new recruit, Audrey, a herbalism student. The young woman is following in the footsteps of her mother, who has long been involved with the Vitteaux association. "I do this out of a desire to help and because I grew up with that spirit," she confides.
On the donor side, Natacha Finck, who spends her time between Paris and Bierry-les-Belles-Fontaines, in the Yonne department, has been giving blood for several years now. "Giving is human," she says simply. This approach was born following the serious illness of a loved one, who has now recovered. Éric Kerhoas , from Montbard, shares the same commitment: "It's important to give. Everyone should feel involved, and it means nothing, barely 30 minutes of your time."
Blood donation play organized by the Blood Association, with schoolchildren on June 13. Next collection on Wednesday, July 23 from 3 to 7 p.m. in Saint-Rémy
