Tap water unfit for consumption in this Var commune

A distribution of bottled water will take place at the Figanières activity center, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Bottled water distributions planned

Connected to the same network as the town of Callas, which has been affected by unclean water since Sunday, it is the turn of the town of Figanières. This Wednesday, July 30, 2025, a municipal decree indicates that the use of drinking water is restricted until further notice, due to the turbidity of the water.

Its use for hydration purposes, for preparing foods eaten raw and for brushing teeth is not recommended for the general population.

For sensitive individuals, such as pregnant women, infants, and immunocompromised individuals, tap water is prohibited. If drinking tap water, it is recommended to first boil the water for 5 minutes.

The restriction concerns the districts of La Clue, Le Plan, Les Bastides, la Grangue, les Aumedes, Serre de Moutte, Le Nougueirets, les naïs, Saint Esprit, Saint Catherine, Gattières, Saint Pons, RD54 (Peyroua district), RD 562.

For sensitive people

The Figanières community center will host a bottled water distribution this afternoon, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., set up by the Dracénie Provence Verdon agglomeration community authority (DPVa).

This first distribution is aimed primarily at sensitive people.

The terms of distribution of bottled water for the coming days will be specified later.
