The maternity hospitals of Hyères and Sainte-Musse obtain the very high health, social, societal and environmental quality label

The maternity hospitals of Hyères and Sainte-Musse obtain the very high health, social, societal and environmental quality label

The maternity wards of the Toulon – La Seyne intercommunal hospital centre (CHITS) and the Hyères hospital centre (CHH), united within the inter-establishment "Women" hub, have just obtained the very high health, social, societal and environmental quality (THQSE) label, based in particular on the 17 sustainable development objectives (SDOs) and the recommendations of the High Authority for Health (HAS).

Particular attention to respecting the birth plan

The maternity unit at Sainte-Musse Hospital was awarded Gold level certification with a score of 90%, and the Hyères maternity unit was awarded Silver level certification with a score of 87%.

Both maternity wards are geared towards respecting natural childbirth and the birth plan, and offer physiological monitoring including complementary methods such as RESC (Energy Resonance by cutaneous stimulation) or acupuncture.

Eco-friendly actions and ethical resource management

The teams organize workshops to raise awareness about eco-friendly practices—for example, bathing every other day. Upon arrival and throughout their stay, parents are encouraged to use the recycling bins for baby bottles, paper, and packaging provided in the department.

Particular attention is being paid to raising awareness of endocrine disruptors. A mapping of household and personal care products has made it possible to eliminate certain products from establishments.

The THQSE label also rewards ethical and sustainable management of resources and the commitment of all teams to this approach.
