"Ministers must take care of the policies they are implementing": Emmanuel Macron's reframing

This is what we call a proper refocusing. Bruno Retailleau's statements on renewable energy, which had already created tensions within the fragile majority, are now contaminating the top executive. On Thursday, on the sidelines of a trip to Aveyron, Emmanuel Macron urged his ministers to focus on their missions. This is the second time the head of state has refocused Bruno Retailleau, following an initial warning in May about Islamist entryism.
A reframing echoed by François Bayrou who, on BFMTV, claimed to be taking responsibility for the debate within his government, while calling the leader of LR to order.
