2027 Presidential Election: The Great Blur of Marine Le Pen's Political and Judicial Strategy

The proliferation of appeals and uncertainties surrounding the procedure are weighing on the clarity of the moment. The candidate could eventually decide to withdraw from the presidential race in favor of Jordan Bardella.

But her vacation promises to be rather studious: the leader of the RN group in the National Assembly is expected to take documents to the beach to refine her legal strategy, while the date of her appeal trial will be announced on September 8. This is one of the few certainties in the case.
To avoid polluting the municipal election campaign (Perpignan Mayor Louis Aliot is one of the defendants), her defense will request that the trial take place after the election. Will this be compatible with a judgment being delivered in the summer of 2026, as the appeals court had promised? Will she change her plans? Some are urging her to do so, but her comments in Valeurs actuelles at the end of June do not seem to confirm this: "There is only one strategy: the truth.
