A total investment of more than 500,000 euros: work will begin on the open-air theatre in La Motte

On Tuesday evening, the municipal council had only one goal: to approve the award of the contract for the future cultural project alongside the media library, in the heart of the village. Namely, the open-air theater.

A total investment of more than 500,000 euros

Previously, the public procurement commission had selected the companies divided into four lots. Eiffage Route, Horizon BTP, M&M TP, and Brenguier Électricité will work together for this festive space.

The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for next week. Cost of the operation, excluding studies: €497,589.08 including tax.

The opposition slams the door

An accomplishment for the majority, who have been carrying out this project for eleven years.

But a false note for the municipal opposition led by Nicolas Bernardeau, who cannot stand the money being thrown out the window, nor the management of the municipality by the majority and the mayor, Valérie Marcy: "We are the only opposition... And we prefer to leave the session." A break in both form and substance that leaves no doubt about the electoral ambitions of the opponent.

The mayor then set about defending all the dark and bright areas of her mandates to "provide the necessary clarifications." A clarification in the form of a platform, far removed from the day's deliberations.

Finally, three de facto unanimities concluded the session concerning the new nursery regulations, an agreement for the allocation of social housing, and a procedure for naming roads. The village now has three new entrances: Allée de Valbourgès, Allée de Maufache, and Impasse Berthelot.
