A year later, the dissolution of the Assembly “will perhaps have taught some lessons”

On June 9, 2024, Emmanuel Macron announced the surprise dissolution of the National Assembly. A year later, his decision still seems “incomprehensible” to Paul Ackermann, Paris correspondent for the Swiss newspaper “Le Temps.” But despite a long period of chaos, officials seem to have accepted the “forced consensus” of the political configuration.
