In Besançon, half-marathons and marathons are few and far between... More precisely, the cobblestones of the watchmaking capital have not been the arena for a half-marathon since 2006. While the city hosted six marathons between 1994 and 1998, where have the road races gone? And who were the last to raise their arms on Besançon soil?
Twenty years. Thanks to the valuable insights of Jean-François Darfin, I was able to delve into the archives of L'Est Républicain to take stock of the half-marathons and marathons that have crisscrossed the capital of Franche-Comté.
