Besançon. Nearly 8,000 runners for the 22nd edition: the Trail des Forts breaks a record

No respite for the brave. The runners registered for the 62 km circuit had barely set off at 7:30 a.m. when they had to think about preparing the starting line for the next 22 km at 9 a.m., all in an atmosphere electrified by the impatience of loved ones to see their friends, spouses, or children already returning, roaming the green hills of the city center or the trails of the villages near the city. The largest nature race in eastern France harmoniously blends nature and culture and allows visitors to discover the fortifications listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
