The Educator's Letter: Review your history and geography programs with "Courrier International" by Benjamin Daubeuf. Courrier International

This week, we're offering a series of articles, videos, and press reviews that have shaped the past year. These reading tips will help final-year students find examples from current events to enrich their assignments. This skill is central to the HGGSP curriculum and should never be overlooked.

For first-year students , these articles will help you calmly prepare for the final year and, perhaps, start thinking about a topic for your oral exam. For second-year students, they can also be a good introduction to this exciting specialty.

  • This press review, published in June 2024 , focuses on attacks in the Red Sea by Yemen's Houthi rebels. In early May 2025, the group committed to no longer targeting American ships in an agreement with the United States; however, it has stated its intention to continue attacks on Israeli vessels.
  • This press review presents the “Gold Dome” project unveiled by Donald Trump and designed to intercept any missile launch targeting the United States from space.

We hope that this selection of articles, as well as the Educator's Letters written this year, will help you succeed in your exams. Don't forget to keep up with the news right up until the very last minute before your exams or your oral exam ; it can really make a difference. Good luck!
