Even in death, Jeffrey Epstein comes back to haunt Donald Trump and the MAGA movement

Across the Atlantic, the wildest conspiracy theories are back in full swing around the Jeffrey Epstein affair, named after the notorious financier accused of sex trafficking and child molestation, found dead in prison in 2019. This is enough to fracture Donald Trump's supporters, who no longer know where to turn, the American press points out.
Almost nothing is going well within the MAGA (“Make America Great Again”) movement, which unites Donald Trump’s supporters. “In recent weeks, the White House tenant’s supporters have already been at loggerheads over his major budget bill, military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, and his anti-immigrant policies.” notes the Politico website . But nothing seems to divide Trump supporters more than the infamous Epstein scandal, named after financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his prison cell in August 2019 before being tried for sex trafficking of minors.
During his election campaign, Donald Trump had indeed promised to make public the "Epstein files," which have been at the heart of increasingly outlandish conspiracy theories for several years. However, on July 7, the US Department of Justice finally published a terse memorandum, concluding that there was no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein had blackmailed influential figures involved in his network of sexual exploitation of teenage girls, and confirming the theory that he committed suicide in prison.
